I can't believe it's Friday once more. Earlier this week I was rummaging through the cupboard looking for a stamp that I knew was in there somewhere, when I came across this stamp. I knew that this was what I would use for this weeks Forgotten Friday challenge, in memory of all those brave men and women that have given their lives for our Country.
For this card I used the poppy stamp from the Flora and Fauna stamp sheet from Chocolate Baroque, there are some lovely stamps on this sheet, but this has to be my favorite. First I stamped it twice and once again onto some copier paper, then I coloured one completely, and one just the poppies. I thin cut out the one I stamped onto copier paper and used it as a mask over the coloured image. I then coloured the background using distress ink pads. Next I cut out the bottom petals of the poppies and mounted these onto the image with some silicone gel just to give it a bit of depth. I then mounted it onto a piece of red mirri card, then some black card. Lastly I mounted it all onto a card base made with some grey centura pearl card.
Why not have a rummage through you cupboards and stash and join the Forgotten Friday challenge. Pop over to Judith's blog and find out what it's all about.
Thank you for taking the time to look.
