CD Sunday - Transport

Well it's Sunday and time for a new challenge over on the CD Sunday Blog. This weeks theme is Transport. I've kept it simple this week as I think that this card will be ideal for a man. So no ribbons, no flowers, but I did manage to find some corrugated gold mirricard in a box of bits, there was just enough to put the topper and sentiment on. The CD I used was MCS It's A Boy Thing. Thanks for looking Sue

Forgotten Friday 10 - Summertime

Another Friday has come along at high speed, so it's time for Forgotten Friday over at Poppy Cottage. Do pop over and have a look and even dig out your forgotten or unused stash and join in. This week I have used another Elusive Images stamp that I bought as a Guild special. Poppies are amongst my favorite flowers so I just had to use this. I have kept it simple this week, no backing papers. I stamped onto white card the sentiment and small single poppy and left this uncoloured, then I used the Barn Door distress ink pad to add some colour straight to the card. Then coloured the poppies with promarkers. And popped it all onto a green 6x6 card. Thank you for looking Sue

CD Sunday - Wild Thing

This weeks challenge over at the CD Sunday Blog, is Wild thing. I have managed not to use MCS this week, instead I have used Peerless Designs Cuddle Upz CD.

I printed the main backing paper straight onto the card, and then used two of the other backing papers, I mounted them on to mirricard. I added some gold and brown ribbon from my stash. I have used two toppers from the sheet of toppers, again mounted onto gold mirricard, then added a foiled greeting. I finished off with a matching insert and also the envelope, all are on the CD.

Thank you for looking.

Forgotten Friday 9 - Another Butterfly - Or Three

I can't believe that it's Friday again, it has come around so quickly. This is my contribution to Forgotten Friday over at Poppy Cottage this week. Last week I used the Harlequin Butterfly stamp plate, and while I was getting them out of the cupboard I also got out the Patchwork Butterfly stamp plate. Last night I stamped out the butterfly and the sentiment several times, and I coloured 3 in while watching the TV intending to pick the one that I liked the best to post on here today. This morning I printed off 3 different backing papers from the Artylicious Essence of Nature CD and put 3 cards together, all very similar. However I could not decide which one I like the best so I have posted all 3.

The first card I made, I coloured the butterfly with shades of pink, added some ribbon to the side of the card and also added some flowers. I used my Big and Juicy ink pads to add some colour to the sentiments on all of the cards matching them to the colours I used on the butterflies.

For the second card I used red's, orange's and yellow's for the butterfly. Some orange and yellow ribbon and some orange flowers.

And the third I used lilacs, purple and green. Also flowers and ribbons that matched the colours used.
Which one do you prefer?
Thanks for looking.

CD Sunday - Colours

The challenge over at CD Sunday this week is Colour, Blue, Yellow and Brown. This week I have gone back to my favorite, MCS. I have used this lovely image from Fab Glam Fifties. The Blue and Yellow in this image are so vibrant.

I had some yellow ribbon that matched, and the flowers were coloured using promarkers. I finished the middles of the flowers with some faux brads.

Forgotten Friday 8 - Butterflies

It's Friday, and time again for Forgotten Friday over at Poppy Cottage (blog listed on my blog list). This is such a good idea, I have so much stuff that I have bought and never quite found the time to use.

This week I have used another Elusive Images stamp, from the Butterfly Poppy Collage stamp sheet, again bought when it was first released and not used. I used my promarkers to colour the images and mounted onto goldmirri card. The backing paper is from the Essence Of Nature CD and the ribbon from my huge stash.

Do go and check out Judith's blog and why not join in.

Thanks for looking

Diamond Wedding Anniversary

What wonderful weather we've had this week, if only it would last. I thought that I would show you this Diamond Wedding Anniversary Card that a friend asked me to make. I used the Glitter Girls All that Jazz CD for this.

The backing papers and decoupage were printed onto Matte photo paper, then mounted onto silver mirricard. The corners were a Mariaane Die, I then added some clear gems (diamonds of course) to the corners and also on the topper. The flowers were some cream ones that I had in my stash , but to make them match I just touched the ends of the petals with promarkers, and added some gem flowers that matched the colours used to these.

CD Sunday - Luck Of The Irish/St Patrick's Day

The Challenge over at the CD Sunday Blog this week is Luck Of The Irish/St Patrick's Day. I must admit to struggling a bit this week, as I was not sure I had anything that was suitable. Whilst looking through my CDs I came across one that I bought 3-4 years ago from ebay, which was full of vintage images. There was a folder on there called Victorian Holidays, and that is where I found this cute little image.

I've mounted the topper onto green mirricard, and then printed a green checked background from Sharon Duncan's Country Kids, also mounted onto mirricard. Added some green ribbon and found some flowers in my stash to match the colours in the topper.

Thanks for looking.

Harlequin Rose and Forgotten Friday 7

It's Friday and once again time for Forgotten Friday. This week on my rummage I found this stamp from Elusive Images called Harlequin Rose. I bought this when it was first released but had not got around to using it. I've stamped it out and coloured it using promarkers. Then used a backing paper from the Artylicious Damask Delights CD. Added some gold mirricard and gold ribbon from my stash.

At that stage I was not sure what I was going to use the card for, but then looking at it again I think it will make a wonderful Mother's day card.

Thanks for looking

MCS Samples, Once In A Lifetime

As I write this the New MCS Once In A lifetime is on the TV. And now that the CDs have been launched I can show you my Samples that I was busy making last week. I'm not going to say too much about how I made the samples, except that I used things that I either had in my stash box, my Cricut machine, Marianne Dies and Martha Stewart punches.
