Pan Pasel Challenge 46 - Frosty And Bright

The card that I have to share with you today, is another from MIL's batch that I'm still making. A beautiful bright frosty day, so perfect for the Pan Pastel challenge this week, which is Frosty and Bright. I've used Dennis Lewan's Gift of Christmas CD for this one, and if you look closely the Children are building a snow bear, and there are bears in the clouds looking down on this snowy scene. This is another 8x8 card and the faded matching backing paper has been mounted onto some silver mirri card. The topper is decoupaged and then lots of glitter added, and also mounted onto silver mirri card. The sentiment was made on the PC and I've colour matched the text to one of the blues in the picture. I've finished it off with another small poinsettia.

Thank you for taking the time to look, and you kind comments which are always appreciated.

CD Sunday - Inspired By Nature

I've really enjoyed getting back into the swing of crafting again this week, and have been catching up on making Christmas cards, this one is one of a batch I'm in the middle of making for my Mother-in-law, and is to give to Father-in-law (he's virtually blind which is why the sentiment is on the large size). It fits right in with this weeks challenge over on the CD Sunday blog, which is Inspired By Nature. I started this card with an 8x8 card base and backing paper from Crafters Companion The Snowman. This is mounted onto some blue mirri card, next the image, which again is mounted onto the blue mirri card, is from The Best Of La Pashe 2012 and has been decoupaged. The sentiment was created on the PC, and flowers die cut with the small poinsettia by Marianne, and the leaves were cut using a crealies die.

Pan Pastel Challenge 45

The challenge this week at the Pan Pastel blog is Red and Green, and I made this card not realising that it would fit right in with their theme this week. A very quick and easy card to make, I used a new stamp that I bought at the NEC the other week, by Impression Obsession, it's a cover a card stamp. I used a Pine Needles distress ink pad to stamp the image, and then with a blending pad went around the card with a Bundled Sage distress ink pad, pulling a little of the colour into the middle. After mounting it onto some gold mirri card I added a bow with some ribbon from my large stash. Coloured the berries in red promarker. and added a sentiment from Joanna Sheens range of Thomas Kinkade stamps.

Thank you for taking the time to look, and you kind comment which are always appreciated.

A Baby Girl

Today I have another card to share with you, one that has been ordered, and it also covers two challenges. The first is My Time To Craft who are asking that we make New Baby cards this week, and the second is In The Pink and they are asking that you use Punches or Diecuts. This card started with a 6x6 white card base, both of the backing papers that I've used are from Sue Smith, the striped paper from the Stripe and Co CD and the gingham is from the Gingham and Co CD. Once these were cut to size I ran a deeper pink promarker around the edge of the page. The ribbon is from my stash, the teddy die is a small sizzix die, and it's a girl was cut out using the Cricut. This beautiful digi image is from Sugar Nellie, and the Adorables range, and was coloured with promarkers. I then cut the image out using a spellbinders die, and before removing from the die I brushed a little pink ink around the edges.

CD Sunday - Layer It Up

It seems so long since I last had anything to post on here, but I'm glad to say that things are at long last beginning to get back to normal. Last week I was asked if I would be able to make a 40th Birthday card, I finished it this morning and have just noticed that it fits right in with the challenge over on the CD Sunday blog this week, which is Layer it up. For this card I've used Debbi Moore's Art Deco Rome CD. The backing paper is a collage of maps, letters and pictures all to do with Rome, matted onto some gold mirri card. The topper is from the decoupage section, put together with silicone gel. Ive added a couple of corners in gold mirri card and some gold coloured ribbon from my stash. The rosette bow was tied using the Glitter Girls bow maker. Finally I've added some flowers in a matching colours and popped some flat backed pearls in the middle of them.

As we have been so busy the last month or so, Hubby and I had a couple of days out last week, we started at the NEC, on Thursday, for the Hobbycrafts show, where I bought a Silhouette Cameo, as well as lots of other goodies. Then we stayed the night in a nice little Hotel just outside of Stratford On Avon, so Friday saw us wandering around the Town and market, before taking the slow route (non Motorway) home later in the day.

Thanks for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.
