I can't believe that it's only 36 days until Christmas, and I'm still making my Christmas cards. So this week's Forgotten Friday project is of course a Christmas card. I have used a Christmas tree from the Angels and Trees stamp sheet that last saw an outing 2 years ago, and a sentiment from the Family Christmas stamp sheet, both from Chocolate Baroque. I've kept it very simple, stamping the tree straight onto the card base, and embossing with gold embossing powder. I then added lots of gems from my stash. The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto an off cut of card that has been in a box for more time than I care to remember. I cut this out using an X Cut die cut and just ran a metallic gold pro marker around the outside before mounting it onto the card.
Why not have a go at making something from your forgotten stash, pop over to Judith's blog and find out all about Forgotten Friday.
Thank you for taking the time to look.

Ooh I love your gem covered tree Sue! It's lovely. I am way behind with my Christmas cards. I started out well, but need to make lots now. Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog, and for joining in Forgotten Friday this week, Judith xx
This is a beautiful card and that tree stamped direct and with the colourful gems is brilliant - a great idea.
Hi Sue,
Thanks for your lovely visits to my blog and taking time to comment. I've just had a lovely browse back through your posts and you have some beautiful cards. I especially love the sunset one a few posts back.
Love the creations in this post. CB certainly can't be beaten on their range of Christmas tree designs I don't think and this one is gorgeous. The gems look fabulous.
Have a good weekend.

A gorgeous card Sue. I haven't really started on my Christmas cards yet. I have decided it will have to be a few handmade specials and the rest from .... almost can't say it...... a shop.
