Twinchies - Autumn

It's time for a new challenge on the Twinchies blog and this time they are asking that we make our twinchies with an Autumn theme. I love the colours of Autumn, the lovely deep Oranges, Reds and Browns and after taking a look at Shirley's wonderful entry, I had to get my inks out and get going. In the back of the cupboard I had some stamps that had not been used before and they fit the theme just right.  As they've not been used before they also fit in with Judith's Forgotten Friday challenge as well. My twinchie is made using Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey on the base and a little Frayed Burlap around the edge. Then I stamped the a conker, from the Nature Table stamp sheet by Chocolate Baroque using Vintage Photo and embossed with clear embossing powder (I wanted to give the conker a glossy look), and just coloured the outside with a Crushed Olive distress pen. Then with the horse chestnut leaf I just stamped along the bottom with a few different shade of the brown distress inks. I then forgot myself and popped it onto a piece of gold mirri card before I took a photo of it, ready for what I was going to do next.

Next, with the other background that I made a couple of weeks ago, using the left over ink from the baby wipe technique, I added the Spiced Marmalade, and Wild Honey distress inks to darkened the background a bit. Then went around the edges with the Frayed burlap, just like the twinchie. Then I over stamped the background with stamps from two more stamp sheets again from Chocolate Baroque, called Tall Trees and Nature's Peace using browns again from distress inks. I then mounted the background onto some gold mirri card and mounted all of it onto a cream card base.

Thank you for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue
