Back in October, when I was running around like a headless chicken, I saw a card on a blog, and knew that I wanted to make something similar. The blog in question is "Mir'acle Art Inspirations" and is owned by the very talented Miranda (do go and look at her beautiful work). There was only one problem the stamp that Miranda had used, I didn't have. Luckily for me a couple of weeks ago they were on offer at Chocolate Baroque, so I popped them in my basket straight away. I'd like to thank Miranda for the Inspiration for this card.
This card started off as an 8x8 white card base, and the backing paper was made using Sprinkys spray inks, that were sprayed onto my glass cutting mat and then the card dropped on top of the wet ink. Once dry I've stamped onto it with a holly background stamp also available from Chocolate Baroque, and using a snowflake and swirl stencil from Imagination Crafts I stippled through it with White Gesso, finally I went around the edges of the card with peeled paint distress ink. The background was then mounted onto some gold mirri card and then some green card, before sticking to the Green card I placed some red ribbon from my stash across the middle. Next I stamped out the Poinsettia 4 times, and after colouring them in with Aqua pencils, I cut out three of the layers, missing a little out each time so that I could decoupage it together. Again I used the peeled paint distress ink around the edge of the card, before sticking it onto some more gold mirri card. Finally I added a sentiment, this time one from Indigo Blu, again edged with peeled paint distress ink.
Thank you for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.
