More Christmas Cards

I can't believe that we're now in September, the sun is shinning, it's lovely and warm and I'm posting Christmas cards on my blog!! I've got a couple more Chocolate Baroque cards to show you today, made again with the cover a card large background stamps (I love these wonderful images they make really quick cards). I made some backgrounds to stamp onto by putting inks, either from an ink pad, of from Distress stains or spray inks such as Dylusions, or Sprinkys onto a glass cutting mat, and then picking up the colour onto card. You tend to get some really very random backgrounds this way.

After they had dried, I stamped onto them using the large stamps and a versamark ink pad, then embossed with WOW white embossing powder. I really like the results that you get this way, the randomness of the background seems to work well with the white embossing. Both of the sentiments are also from Chocolate Baroque and are newly released this month, they are larger than normal sentiments for Christmas, and work well with this sort of card too.

I'm going to enter these cards into the following challenges:-
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Lady Anne's Challenge - Stamp Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes

Thank you for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

It does seem odd making Christmas cards when it is warm and sunny I agree. Love those background techniques and the large background stamps work well with the large sentiment for relatively straightforward cards. I've not indulged - yet...

Two stunning cards Sue. Even though you used the same stamps as before you have made completely different cards. I really like the effect of white embossing powder over pastel colours. I used to do it often, now I hardly stamp! Michelle x

Two fabulous cards, Sue! Beautiful stamps, I agree. I too have been making Christmas cards, mainly because my dear friend Lynne showed me that she has already made all of hers in August (We normally both start them in October!)

These are both gorgeous Sue! I especially love that bauble background and the colours are beautiful. I think I need those stamps for some speedy cards. I haven't made a start yet again this year after promising myself I would not leave it till the last minute and end in a panic again......... good intentions, eh!

Hugs
