Craftroom Playtime

After I finished making my card yesterday I got my Scan-N-Cut out for a play. It's been a while since it was last out, but as I had bought the new Lavinia USB with cutting files on just before we went away in February, I thought it was about time it came out. Below are the results of my playtime. The first one is called Daydream, after resizing and cutting out I found a background that I had made sometime ago while playing with some brushos and watercolour paper. I cut it down to size and stuck behind the cut image. I then added some glitter to the wings using some dries clear glue. The sentiment is from a set from Chocolate Baroque, that goes so well with Lavinia stamps and dies.

The second card was made using the Alura cutting file, again I resized and added another background previously made. This time it was made using Silkies paints from Imagination crafts and brayered onto some card. Again I cut the card down to fit behind the image and added glitter to the wings.. The sentiment is another from the same Chocolate Baroque set.

Finely I made an 8x10 canvas using a mixture of stamps and cutting files from the USB. I started by using distress inks and blending over the canvas to make a scene for the die cuts. Next I stamps some of my many stamps around the edges before placing the dies cuts onto the canvas so I could added the fairy couple and snail stamps. I then added some guilding wax to the dies cuts and then stuck them to the canvas using a wet glue.

Thanks for taking the time to look and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

Goodness me you have been busy with your Scan'n'Cut machine - these are great. I keep thinking about the machine but that's as far as I dare go!

You look like you've been having lots of fun Sue and I love the results. I especially like the first card with it's warm coloured background and the fairy silhouette looks terrific too. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

I am in awe of your talent! these are such beautiful cards. I love each and every one.
The brusho's background of the first is so beautiful. The second has a peaceful look...think it is the blue colours. The last is so fun and interesting. Every where you look, there is something lovely to see!

I have no idea how a scan and cut works but the resulting cards you have made are all lovely. Perfect backgrounds too for the cards. Hugs Mrs A.

Wow I am loving your cards Sue!! I didn't know Lavinia had cutting files Sue! Where did you get them from??? Straight from their site?? I love their stamps, but they are pretty expensive for me right now. But do love the idea of cutting files. The ones you cut with your Brother Scan and Cut are fabulous and my granddaughter's would love them fairies. Love your backgrounds on all your cards, they just make the scene so much better. Hugs, Brenda
