CD Sunday - Digi Day

The CD Sunday challenge this week is Digi's, and I have used this beautiful girl from Sugar Nellie called Hope. She is just one of many beautiful images that they have available for download. I will be going back to buy some more soon.

I took the image into MCS to re size, then printed and coloured with promarkers. I then cut out the image with an oval spellbinders nestie and mounted it onto a scalloped oval also a nestie. The backing paper is from MCS Finest Filigree, in a very pale shade of blue to match the colours I have used for colouring. Then with another colour blue I used a Martha Stewart punch to make a border and placed down the side, and added a pale blue organza ribbon. I then rummaged in my flower box and found a blue flower to add, I just finished it with a couple of Marianne Dies and a leaf punch from Martha Stewart.

Forgotten Friday 19 - Flower Posy

Well Friday is here once again, and what a glorious day it is. Lets hope that it's here to stay. Of course it that time of the week when I use something that is neglected and forgotten. This week I have chosen to use this lovely spray of flowers which is an Elusive Images stamp. I'm not sure how long I've had it, but until today it was unused. 

It was stamped out using a Versafine black ink pad, and I have used water colour pencils to colour (without the water). I then used one of my big juicy ink pads to add a bit of colour around the edge.
The backing paper is from the Artylicious Fantasy Floral. I then added some faux brads and a bit of ribbon. There is no sentiment on it yet as I am unsure who I am going to sent it to, but I have a couple of birthdays this month that this will do nicely for.

CD Sunday - Say It With Scallops

We are half way through the week and I am only just posting my contribution to this weeks CD Sunday challenge. This week it's scallops. and I have decided to go with shells, these have a beautiful natural scallop shape to them. The CD I have used is Summerbreeze by Debbi Moore. I opened the CD and the took snapshots of the pages that had the images and backgrounds that I wanted to use, and then took them into MCS to crop and re size. I picked the shell shaped image and cropped it from the sheet, and re sized it so that it would fit nicely onto a 6 x 6 card, I then copied and pasted so that I had 5 layers. From another sheet I cropped and re sized a sentiment. Next I re sized the backing paper down to A5 size so that I would not loose to much if the design on it. I matted the backing paper onto some gold pearl card, and also the sentiment. After layering the image up I then added a swirl of pearls.

Forgotten Friday 18 - Take Time

Well Friday is here again, and it's time for me to have a rummage for any forgotten and unused stash. This week I have used an Inkadinkado stamp from the Birds Galore set, which I bought on a trip to Florida in 2009. Sadly it has been in the cupboard since then, until today. I also used a Foliage stamp which is from the Essence of Nature stamp sheet from Chocolate Baroque, the swirl stamp used on the background is from the Birthday swirls, and the backing paper is from the Stucco Brights collection which is a download, both of these are from Chocolate Baroque as well.



The card was a 6 X 6  card base, and I used gold mirri card for matting. The background of the topper was coloured using distress inks in Peeled Paint and Broken China, the foliage was stamped with Forest Pine distress ink and a little bit of colour was added to the heads with a promarker. I stamped the bird with Archival Black and again added a bit of colour using a promarker. The sentiment was made on the PC.

CD Sunday - Under The Weather

The Challenge over on the CD Sunday blog this week is Under The Weather. A great challenge for making a Get Well card, I like to keep a couple of these in my card box. You never know when you are going to need one. 

For this card I have used MCS Wings and Things, and this lovely image of a bluebird sitting on a blossom branch. It is a 6X6 card base using pale pink centura pearl card. I printed off the main image, a sheet of backing paper to match and the sentiment. Matted the backing paper onto some silver mirri card,  and added a bit of ribbon around two of the corners. The topper and the sentiment are also matted onto silver mirri card. I then just added some flat backed gems into the other two corners.

I'm glad I have managed to get this posted today, I tried yesterday but blogger was not playing.

Forgotten Friday 17 - Secret Garden

Well it's Friday once again, so it's time for me to have a rummage in my cupboards and see what I have that's been sitting there unused for a while. Today I have found this wonderful stamp of a sundial that was part of a collection of stamps that I bought from Create and Craft the first time that Glenda Waterworth from Chocolate Baroque (formally Graphicus) appeared as a guest. I was so blown away with what she did with the stamps, I had to buy them. However the sundial has remained unused until today. I have also used some tapestry stamps that I bought a couple of years ago at a show and had not used.

I started by masking the bottom of the card off and stamping the sundial so that I did not have the bottom of the sundial in the picture. Then I added a bit of colour to the top of the card using Distress Ink pads, I've tried to give the impression of the the sun somewhere in the background as well. Then using the tapestry stamps and a Big and Juicy ink pad , and a couple of green colours from the Distress Ink pads range, I stamped at the bottom of the card to make it look as though you are looking over an over grown Clematis hedge. The sentiment is from the Lovely Sentiments stamp sheet, also from Chocolate Baroque. The backing paper is from the Artylicious Essence of Nature CD. I just added a little ribbon from my stash across the middle.

CD Sunday - Die Cutting/Yeehaw - Part 2

When I made my card this week for the CD Sunday challenge, I was going to combine both die cuts with yeehaw. Then I decided why not do 2 entries, one for each. So this is my second, Die Cutting, and has been made for a baby boy that is expected any day now. The image is from Sugar Nellie, and I didn't need much of an excuse to buy this beautiful digi. I coloured this with promarkers.The backing papers are a Sue Smith CD Stripe and Co, and the Dies are , Teddy - Sissix, Booties - Sisslet, Oval and scalloped Oval Spellbinders and the wording from the Cricut Beyond Birthdays cartridge. Then just a bit of white ribbon on it to finish.

CD Sunday - Die Cutting/Yeehaw

Well another Sunday has come and gone, how they rush by. The challenge over at the CD Sunday blog this week is Die Cutting or Yeehaw. I have chosen to do a card for Yeehaw, I may be back later with one for Die Cutting. I have used MCS Hollywood Greats for this card. All of the elements are from the one CD so all I had to do was cut out and mount it onto a 6 X 6 card base with some matting and layering.

Forgotten Friday 16 - Christmas Bauble

I'm a little late for the Forgotten Friday Challenge this week, due to being ill yesterday, and spending the day in bed. Thankfully I am better today, and have now managed to make something for week 16. As I still had my Christmas stamps out from last week, I decided to have a rummage into that to find some stamps that had not been used for a couple of years. This one comes from the Snowflake Flourish sheet from Graphicus (now Chocolate Baroque). For this card I used a 6 x6 square card base in red card, the backing paper is from the Artylicious Seasons Greetings CD, which is mounted onto gold mirricard. The baubles where stamped with a black Momento Ink pad, and coloured with promarkers. The sentiment was from the same stamp sheet and embossed using a gold sparkle embossing powder. I stuck some ribbon onto the card and stuck the baubles on and added a bow in the same ribbon.

Beardsley And Kelmscott

Last Friday I posted a card that I had made using the beautiful bauble stamps from Elusive Images (Chocolate Baroque). I stamped all of the large images from all 6 set before settling on the one that I posted.  I have now finished another 2 , so I thought that I would share these with you today. The first is from the Kelmscott set, and the backing paper is from The Artylicious Decadent Brocade CD.

This second card is using the Beardsley set, and the backing paper is from The Artylicious Blissful Butterflies CD.  Some ribbon and corners added just to finish them. I now have another 2 card to add to my store cupboard.
