Forgotten Friday 25 - Breath of Spring

I don't know where the time goes these days, I can't believe that it's Friday again. That means that it's time to find something that's been forgotten or neglected and make something with it. This week I have used a stamp from Chocolate Baroque called Breath of Spring, this was a guild stamp sometime ago. I started this card by first using a Martha Stewart around the page punch that I bought the other weekend at the Newbury Art Stamps show, I used a memento ink pad in New Sprout to add a little colour around the edge of this. Next I stamped the image and coloured it using promarkers, then cut it down to fit the punched mat. Then distressed it slightly with Vintage Photo distress ink and ran the ink pad around the edge to make the edges darker. The backing paper used is from the Artylicous Fantasy Floral CD, and mounted that onto some gold mirri card, a little bit of lilac ribbon added to the bottom and some flowers that match.  All this was finish off on a 6x6 card base made from a piece of green centura pearl card.

Thanks for looking, your kind comments are appreciated.

Beautiful card and you've reminded me that I've not used that great stamp for ages either. Nice colouring with Promarkers.

Ooooh lovely card Sue! The colours are fabulous, and that flower is one of my favourites, but I don't use it often enough. Great colouring of your flower. Thanks for joining in this week, Judith xx
