Let Your Light Shine

This month the challenge at Craft A Scene, is Let Your Light Shine, and they want you to create a scene with Lighthouse's. It was a good excuse to get this lovely stamp scene out and use by Chocolate Baroque, from the Seashore Scenes stamp set. I stamped the scene onto white card using Versafine Onyx Black, and embossed with clear powder. I then coloured with aqua pencils, and cut out using a spellbinders rectangle. This was then place onto one of the new spellbinders dies that were released at the CHA last month. I have had trouble with some of the more intricate dies that they have bought out recently, so invested in some waxed (freezer) paper. By placing this on top of the card you need to cut, it makes the card pop out of the die once it's been through your machine, and the waxed paper just peels off leaving you with a perfectly cut die. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and the paper some that I've had in the cupboard for a while. It sort of reminded me of sand so seemed appropriate.

I 've struggled the last few months to take part in this challenge due to the family commitments that I've had. So this month I thought I'd get my card made at the beginning of the month, and get in early.

Thank you for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

Family commitments do get in the way of our crafting fun don't they Sue, lol! I've had a poorly little grand daughter all week so by the time she'd gone home I couldn't even keep my eyes open for a blog hop ;-( Blog hopping is what I'm catching up on this morning though ;0)!

I love your scenic card Sue and the image is beautifully coloured. Love the vibrant colours of your frame and background too. Definitely conjours up visions of a hot sunny day at the beach! Beautiful work.

Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog too. I really appreciate them especially at the moment when I often don't find the time to reciprocate.
