My True Love

My Mother-in-law is still in hospital, and at the moment we have my Father-in-law staying with us, as he's blind. MIL is up and down, having good days and bad days, so I've made this Valentines card for FIL to give to her in the hope it will bring a little cheer to her. I've used one of the new heart stamps from Chocolate Baroque, called Poppy Baroque. I stamped it twice and after colouring the bottom layer, I then just coloured the bottom parts of the petals and layered them up. The sentiment is from the Damask Hearts stamp set, and has been embossed with gold embossing powder. The background has been made by blending Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold distress inks onto the paper and then over stamping with the Dried Marigold with a swirl stamp from the Glitter Girls.

I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges.
Pan Pastels ................. Love and Romance
Ladybug Crafts .......... Valentines Day and/or Love

Thank you for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Beautiful card Sue and your MIL will love it. Beautiful background that pops the red of the gorgeous Poppy (one of my fav Baroque Hearts). I hope your mother in-law's health improves, you sure are busy. Take care, Shirleyx

Hi Sue, beautiful card. Your shading on the image is stunning and the background just sets the focal image off a treat. I'm sorry to hear your MIL is poorly, I'm sure this lovely card will lift her spirits. Thanks for sharing with us at PanPastel Uk this week too
