Valentines

Here we are halfway through February already, where did January go is what I'd like to know. Today I'm posting the two Quintiles that I've made for February's swap at the Chocolate Baroque Group, this month the topic is Valentine. I rummaged into the back of the cupboard for the Damask Hearts set for these. I stamped the hearts onto white card stock (two different designs, one for each quintile) and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then blended distress ink over the hearts to add the colour. I printed two backing papers from the Stucco backgrounds (downloadable from the Chocolate Baroque website), then over stamped with one of the small elements that was on the stamp set, again with clear embossing powder, also I added the words Romance and True Love to the backing papers. Again I used distress ink to colour the edges of the paper. I then added a bow to each of the tiles before popping onto a piece of matting.

Fellow Chocolate Baroque member Judith is a DT member on a new challenge blog Sincerely Yours Creations  that started today, and as their opening challenge is Valentine/Love. As these tiles fit with the theme I will enter them into the challenge.

Thank you for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

Sue, these Quintiles are fabulous! I love the different colour combinations. Great to see the smaller stamps on the sheet in use as well. Thanks so much for joining in with the Sincerely Yours challenge this week, Judith xx

These are lovely and I like the differing colours. I very nearly reached for those heart stamps too - great favourites of mine for anniversary cards etc and so many ways they can be used.
