April Quintiles - April Fool

It's that time of the month where I need to make something for the Chocolate Baroque quintile challenge. This month it was certainly that, after struggling to come up with something, I decided to google "April Fool". I wish I'd thought of it earlier, apart from the obvious answer of Prank, it gave me a chose of four other things. Buffoon, Clown, Harlequin and Jester. It was then I remembered that I had these stamps brought some time ago, and this is the first time that they've been inked. I used the same stamps on both quintiles but changed the colours.

The first, for the background I used a Harlequin mask and after swiping an orange pan pastel over the card, I placed the mask over the top and pressed a versamark ink pad through the design, I then went back over with the same pan pastel where the ink picked up the colour making it a deeper shade. I stamped the images and embossed with black sparkle, then coloured with promarkers. I then added a dictionary meaning for the word Jester, this was done on the PC. I added Vintage Photo distress ink to the torn edges, and mounted onto some silver Mirri card.

The second was made very similar, by stamping the images, embossing and colouring with promarkers. But this time the backing was made by using black card, and silver sparkle paste through the mask.

Thanks for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

Both are beautiful cards, I also love the Jesters, both are great colours, but I think the 2nd is my favorite. Hope you are doing well, we are getting a lot of rain. Shirleyx

These are great and like you I had to do lots of thinking outside the box to come up with something that tied in with my CB products/stamps. Sadly I don't have these ones but will post what I made later.
