A Busy But Fun Day

Saturday saw me up early again for another trip to Kent and Eileen Godwin's workshop. I set out at 7.30 and picked up my friend Elaine who lives nearby and we set off for what was a packed but fun filled day. Eileen had us making our own texture paste which when dried, crackles. If you look closer at the top two cards you will be able to see this (the paste was coloured when dry with pro markers).

These next two cards we used Sweet Poppy stencils Glossy White paste and when dry coloured with a Liquid Chrome pen (third card) and Gold Sakura Pen-touch Calligrapher pen (forth card)

The next cards were made using Pan Pastels, Sweet Poppy Stencils and again glossy white paste and a few small Lavinia Stamps.

Last but not least while we were waiting for the paste to dry we made bookmarks using gesso as a resist. All but the bookmarks were mounted onto the cards when I got home as we just ran out of time.

The day flew past and all to soon it was time to find our way back round the M25 and home. Still we put our names down for next month, so looking forward to doing it all over again in September. Thank you Eileen for a wonderful day.

Thanks for taking the time to look and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

Wow, what amazing pieces of art you've created here Sue. I couldn't choose a favourite as I love them all! You've used so many wonderful vibrant colours and used some fabulous techniques. I've never really thought of using Gesso as a resist, so I'll definitely be giving that a go, your bookmarks are superb. I bet you can't wait for your next trip to Eileen's workshop and I can't wait to see what you make next :) crafty hugs, Sandra X
