A great Day Out

Sunday saw me leaping out of bed bright and early, as I was going to Kent to attend one of Eileen Godwin's wonderful workshops. So with craft equipment and lunch packed we set off. There were 12 ladies all eager to get going at 10.00 am. Eileen supplied all the things we would need to complete the wonderful butterfly, all that was needed was to get messy. We started by sticking embossed card and die cut butterflies onto an MDF butterfly with Mod Podge, next we trimmed everything that over hung the edges before painting it all with Black Gesso. When this was dry it was given a makeover with Inka Gold, Treasure Gold or Alchemy Wax. All of the completed Butterflies looked different as we all used different colour combinations, all looked gorgeous. I decorated mine with the intention of putting this on our bedroom wall, which is cream but has a feature wall with cream wallpaper, with red and gold flowers on it.

Thanks for taking the time to look and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue
