NBUS Challenge - Pencils On Craft Card

Darnell has a NBUS challenge over on her blog at the moment where she is asking for people to use coloured pencils on craft card. I must admit that I have a large pile of craft card which I seldom use and have also been meaning to try this technique for sometime. The stamp is a Hobby Art stamp that was a stamp of the month in November that I just had to have, but had not used it yet. I stamped onto the craft card using Versamark and white embossing powder, then coloured using Spectrum Noir pencils, I added some very light grey around the outside of the image to give it a bit of a shadow. I then mounted onto some matching card before putting onto a shaped craft card base. Now that it's finished I have to say that I love the effect and don't know why I haven't done this before, I'm sure that it won't be my last.

Thanks for taking the time to look and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

I adore irises, so you can imagine how much I love this card, Sue! You did a brilliant job of coloring and showcasing this stunning flower! I'm so delighted you gave this technique a try and that you loved it! (As I'm pinning all the entries, it occurs to me that people might be thinking, "What's the deal with all these cards colored on kraft paper that are showing up on Pinterest?" haha! We'll be seeing them all over Blogland now!) Thank you for playing in my NBUS Challenge #8! Hugs, Darnell
