Today my card is for the Butterfly Challenge which this time the theme is Key and/or Vermilion. I've managed to use both. My base card is red/vermilion and I've teamed it with some black card for matting and some Graphic 45 paper from the Times Nouveau paper pad. I added some red ribbon with some green ribbon on top with the key attached (I have a box full of these little keys, which were found in my Uncles house when we cleared it a few years ago). I found a sentiment stamp from Chocolate Baroque that matched the theme of the card, I stamped it in black onto the red card and then mounted onto black card . Finally I add a couple of die cut butterflies which I backed with adhesive card and added some glitter to finish.
Thanks for taking the time to look and your kind comments which are always appreciated.
Sue

Really striking colours Sue, always love a Butterfly or two and the key so cleverly incorporated as well.

Thank you for playing with us at Butterfly Challenge, Tina Z., GD
This is fabulous, Sue! I smiled and thought you were so clever using the "key" sediment and then I did a double-take when I saw the key hanging from the ribbon! Brilliant!! Hugs, Darnell

Super card, Sue, lovely design. I love the sentiment, it's perfect to go with the cute little key. xx
How charming! I love the use of a key on your card and these colors just POP! Super card ♥
The red, black and yellow look stunning together on this card and you are the first to add a key too. Like you we found a drawer full of keys when we cleared my FIL's house. No idea what they were for but are unusual shapes so I kept some of them . Thank you for fluttering into the butterfly garden. Hugs Mrs A.
A great take on the challenge Sue, a really lovely card.
