Wedding Card

I can't believe that most of the week has passed before I've had time to get back and post the card that I made for Vicky and David's wedding. Thank you for all of the wonderful comments you left. I actually made six cards in total, for various family members to give them. I managed to make them all different too. For this card I used a Lili Of The Valley stamp, and also dusted of my fancy Spellbinders Dies. I stamped the image onto some lovely matt card and coloured with water colour pencils. The backing paper is from A Joanna Sheen CD (Thomas Kinkade I think). The swirl is from a Marianne die and I made up a mini bouquet of roses that I've had in my stash for ages, then added a ribbon to match. This week I've been making Golden Wedding Anniversary cards, five for the same couple and again all different. I just have one more to make now (that will be from me) making six in total.

Thanks for taking the time to look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

CD Sunday - Purple Paradise

This weeks challenge over at the CD Sunday blog is chosen by Wendy, and she's picked Purple Paradise. So we want to see all things Purple this week. I was asked to make this card for an 80th Birthday, and it was when I was about half way through that I realised it was going to fit in perfectly with the theme. I used Joanna Sheen's Thomas Kinkade CD again this week, and again I've printed onto some Canvas photo paper, I've then mounted the topper onto some gold mirri card, doing the same with the backing paper. The sentiment was made on the PC and I changed the colour of the text to purple. The flowers were made using a crealies die, and I've place purple pearls into the centres.

CD Sunday - Majesty

This weeks challenge over at CD Sunday is Majesty. I've chosen to go with the Majesty of a stunning view, and Thomas Kinkade was the obvious CD to reach for for this. I make the cards for all of the family members for my in-laws, and as it's my hubby's birthday on Tuesday I've made this for them to give to him. As a very keen fisherman I always try to make something that reflects his hobby, hence the fish and twine. Last month he went to a fishing show (a bit like a craft show, but with fishing things) and came back very enthusiastic about going to Canada and fishing lake Ontario for carp, this is all I hear at the moment. Now I have been to Toronto, which is on the edge of lake Ontario, and it's very flat around there, but I'd like to think that somewhere it would look a little bit like this scene. Back to the card though, I printed the topper onto some canvas photo paper and then mounted it onto some gold textured card. I mounted the backing paper onto the same textured card, and wrapped some twine around the bottom. In the cupboard I had some rub ons, so I put two of the fish onto some light weight card and the cut the out and placed them on the bottom. Finally I added a sentiment, which was made on the PC.
