Forgotten Friday 12 - Wildest Dreams

Well it's Friday again and time for my Forgotten Friday project this week. I was inspired by a card that Judith made earlier this week called Mosaic Doodles , to get out the stamp board that was hidden away in the bottom of a box and finally make something with it. I used Elusive Images (Chocolate Baroque) stamps from the Fly Away With Me stamp sheet. I used my Big and Juicy ink pads to colour the background of the stamp board and promakers just to highlight the birds, then I just went around the thick edge of the board with a gold promarker. The backing paper was from the Essence of Nature CD. I used clear embossing over the stamp board images when they were finished. For a first attempt I was quite pleased with the end result, and I will defiantly be using it again. Thanks for looking. Sue

CD Sunday - Song In My Heart

For this weeks CD Sunday challenge I have used MCS Carousel Of Classics, 1980 -1999. The original was a green colour so I changed it to this turquoise which I think looks much better. This will make a super card for a teenager. I printed it out onto matt photo paper, mounted onto silver mirri card, and added some faux brads. The song in my heart for this is Happy Birthday To You... Thanks for looking. Sue

Forgotten Friday 11 - Just A Note

It time for Forgotten Friday again, and this week I have found the very first stamps that I brought that were unmounted. I believe that it was the first time that Glenda Waterworth was on Create and Craft with Alan and Barry. I fell in love with her stamps and have been buying them ever since. When the Crocus start popping their heads above ground, I know that the warmer weather will not be far away. They have finished now but I just had to use this one today. I also found some brightly coloured card in the cupboard that was neglected and went so well with the colours I'd picked. The backing paper is from the Artylicious Blissful Butterflies CD. The sentiment is from a set of sentiments from Polka Doodles. If you would like to find out all about Forgotten Friday, please pop along to Judith's Blog here . Thanks for looking Sue

Birthday Card

Today it is my Sister-in-laws birthday, and my Mother-in-law asked me to make a card for her. So today I thought I would show it to you. It was made using the Enchanted Dreams CD from Joanna Sheen. The first photo shows the card straight on and the second stood, as it is an easel card and the sentiment is on the inside . I chose to use the backing paper upside down as I wanted it to be darker at the bottom. I mounted this onto some blue mirricard , the topper is mounted onto silver mirricard and I cut some corners from a Marianne die. The butterflies are also a Marianne die which I cut out in some white card and the sprayed with Glimmer mists.

On the inside I used the backing sheet the right way up. The verse inside and the sentiment were printed on my laser printer and put through the laminator with a holographic foil. I added some ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Thanks For looking

MCS Klever Konstruction - Samples

I am lucky to be a member of the Sample Makers team for My Craft Studio, and recently made samples for the Klever Konstruction pick of the week that was on Create and Craft last week. So today I thought I would show you the sample that I made with the art work that was sent to me.

Thank you for looking.

CD Sunday - Someone Special

The challenge this week for CD Sunday is Someone Special. This came at just the right time for me, as I've been asked to make an Anniversary Card for someone. I've used Debbi Moore's Evergreen CD to make this card. This is a fairly new CD out and the Images on it are beautiful, and I'm very pleased with the end result. I just needed to add a couple of flowers and a couple of die cuts to finish. Thanks for looking. Sue

Forgotten Friday 11 - Three Kings

Well it's Friday and time for another search through my cupboards for something that I haven't used for a long time. I wonder how many of us buy new Christmas stamps every year, and then forget them the following year when the new ones come out. I'm afraid that I am one of those people. So this week I am making my first Christmas card with a stamp from 2008. This stamp is an Elusive Images stamp of the Three kings, and the backing paper is from the Artylicious Seasons Greetings CD.

If you have lots of unused stash why not dig it out of the back of the cupboard or the bottom of the box and join in with this fun challenge. Check out Judith's Blog over at Poppy Cottage (there is a link to Judith's blog at the side of this one).

Thanks for looking.

CD Sunday - Transport

Well it's Sunday and time for a new challenge over on the CD Sunday Blog. This weeks theme is Transport. I've kept it simple this week as I think that this card will be ideal for a man. So no ribbons, no flowers, but I did manage to find some corrugated gold mirricard in a box of bits, there was just enough to put the topper and sentiment on. The CD I used was MCS It's A Boy Thing. Thanks for looking Sue

Forgotten Friday 10 - Summertime

Another Friday has come along at high speed, so it's time for Forgotten Friday over at Poppy Cottage. Do pop over and have a look and even dig out your forgotten or unused stash and join in. This week I have used another Elusive Images stamp that I bought as a Guild special. Poppies are amongst my favorite flowers so I just had to use this. I have kept it simple this week, no backing papers. I stamped onto white card the sentiment and small single poppy and left this uncoloured, then I used the Barn Door distress ink pad to add some colour straight to the card. Then coloured the poppies with promarkers. And popped it all onto a green 6x6 card. Thank you for looking Sue

CD Sunday - Wild Thing

This weeks challenge over at the CD Sunday Blog, is Wild thing. I have managed not to use MCS this week, instead I have used Peerless Designs Cuddle Upz CD.

I printed the main backing paper straight onto the card, and then used two of the other backing papers, I mounted them on to mirricard. I added some gold and brown ribbon from my stash. I have used two toppers from the sheet of toppers, again mounted onto gold mirricard, then added a foiled greeting. I finished off with a matching insert and also the envelope, all are on the CD.

Thank you for looking.
