I can't believe how quickly the week has gone by, it's Friday once again, and time for Judith's Forgotten Friday challenge. Next month is my husbands birthday, and my Mother-in-law has asked me to make a card to give to him. As he is a very keen fisherman I thought that this stamp from Stamp Addicts was just the thing. I bought it last year at the Newbury Show, but never got around to using it. I stamped the image with Versafine Black Onyx and then coloured over the top with Sunshine Yellow and Lemonade Adirondack Ink. For the background I used the same 2 inks only this time I coloured first and then added the stamps. The 2 boys and gone fishing sign are from the same stamp sheet as the main image, the tree branch is from Stampscapes. I've used rusty orange and brown card for matting, which has been mounted onto an 8x8 cream card base. I've not added the sentiment yet as I needed to put it all away before he returns home shortly (it's a good job he doesn't read my blog). Why don't you have a look and see what you've got that's not been used for sometime or even at all.
Thank you for taking the time to look.
Sue

Fabulous card Sue, I love the colours. I seem to work with yellows and oranges a lot these days. That set looks like a really useful one. Thanks for joining in FF, Judith xx

Hi Sue ! What a gorgeous card you created ! Perfect for the fisherman ! Love those bright sunny colours and how you created the background. That tree stamp is very cool ! My DH doesn't read my blog either, but I have to admit he 'promotes' it ! Have a great weekend ! Shirley x
