The challenge this week at the CD Sunday blog, is All Sewn Up. I started by looking through all the CD's that I could think of that had sewing related images on, but as soon as I popped this one, Grandma's Button Box from Flowersoft into the PC, I knew it was the one I would use. I printed off one of the patchwork backing papers in blues, and the embellishment sheets. There were some lovely sentiments on the CD and eventually I chose to use "Friends are sewn one stitch at a time". I used a sheet of textured dark blue card for the matting and also to cut out a sewing machine, which I found on the Heritage cartridge for the Cricut. The scissors were from the Sentimentals cartridge and were cut from silver mirri card (unfortunately they picked up some background colour while being photographed). The corners were cut out and the decoupaged, and the the flowers shaped by hand and put on with some silicone glue.
Thank you for taking the time to look.
