CD Sunday - Christmas

The lovely ladies over on the CD Sunday Challenge blog have very kindly invited me back to be Guest Designer for October, and as it is the first Sunday of the month they have a sponsor. This month it's Caroline Rawcliffe, of Carolines Digistamps ( if you click on the logo it will take you to her shop) and Caroline has very kindly give the design team a digi kit to play with, the theme this week is Christmas.

I had great fun playing with the digi kit, which can be used perfectly in either MCS or Craft Artist. There were lots of backgrounds, images and embellishments to play with, but it the end I settled for this silhouette of a robin. I added snowflake corners and stars around the image.

The great thing about this card is, that with the rise in postage cost this year, I could make it completely flat, just adding a little shadow to give it some dimension. I also created an insert to match and an envelope.

Thank you for taking the time to look, and you kind comments which are always appreciated.

This is a lovely Christmas card and great that it looks dimensional while remaining flat for minimum postage.

I think we've all got to consider how we make out Christmas cards this year. Even at the cheaper rate it's an expensive do. I love this green kit and your card really does look dimensional. Love the inside too - a lovely bonus for whoever gets it.

Hi Sue, a super card and I love how you made a matching insert and envelope, something I may copy if that is ok with you.
Good to have you back as our GDT this month.

A lovely card, Sue...I never thought of using two robins and it looks as if you're looking right inside the card!
