August Rudolph Days

I'm lucky enough to have a whole room to myself for crafting, but as it accommodates two hobbies  - that of buying craft supplies against actually using the craft supplies to craft with - my room was rather crowded. I have just spent the last week cleaning and clearing my room so that I can get on and craft and actually use some of the stuff that I've bought. However my card for the Rudolph Days Challenge this month uses a stamp that was given to me recently by a friend who said it was not her kind of stamp and she wouldn't use it  and the white card was some off cuts that were sitting in a pile of off cuts, so that makes this card also suitable for Pixies Snippets Playground too. I stamped the image using black and coloured just the scarf and poinsettia with just red. I ran a red pen around that edge of the white card and then mounted onto a craft card base. The sentiment which I stamped onto the edge of the card is from Chocolate Baroque. I'm not sure who made the stamp, but it was a wood mounted one. Finally I added some flat back gems to the star.

I would also like to enter this card into My Time To Craft Challenge - which is Christmas in August.

Thank you for taking the time to look and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Sue

You opening lines made me smile Sue, a lovely lady who used to come to my classes always bought everything we used, however, she never ever used any of them and had a spare room bursting with goodies. In fact the only cards she made were in class.

Your snowman image certainly is a cheery fellow and makes such a pretty card.

I've more or less finished tidying and decluttering my craft room, just need to re-do some labels for the boxes. I must admit, having a tidy craft room has improved my mojo and I'm determined to keep putting everything back in the right place after each project. Well, that's the plan! I love your snowman card, what a brilliant stamp and he looks wonderful with just a touch of colour. The gems are a perfect finishing touch. x

A super Christmas card Sue, such a jolly snowman, he looks great mounted onto Kraft.
It's lovely to have nice tidy craft room and to be able to find everything isn't it - just a shame it doesn't usually stay like that for long!

This is a lovely snowman, Sue, You have a done a great job here. Loving the sentiment stamped in that direction and also love the red pen idea around the outside of the image.

Me again, but without my official hat on!
Loved your comment about the two hobbies...and organizing. Since seeing your wonderful organizing ideas, I have taken all my teensy Studio G and teensy Imaginesce stamps and taken them out of the system i had them filed in. I am using your idea of the laminated sheet to arrange them in themes...same themes as the rest of my stamps. This way I can just interfile them into my existing themes! Thanks for the ideas!!!

Love that stamp Sue, a very traditional looking snowman! I know what you mean about your craft room, mine was pretty much the same, but I have been de-cluttering and tidying too!
