July Rudolph Days

Well here we are 25th July and there are only five more Rudolph Days Challenges.left this year. I've managed to make 47 cards so far with these three taking the total to 50. So I really feel that the pressure is off and I can concentrate on the special cards for individual members of the family now. My cards for this month is using one of the new releases from Pink Ink Designs, as soon as I saw this I knew that I would have to add it to my stash as my youngest grandson is mad about trains. I stamped it with Versafine Clair and coloured with Alcohol markers. As always over on the Challenge Maureen has a wonderful prize for the winner of the random draw at the end of the month all you need to do is make a card and take part. I do hope that you will pop across and join us this month or just go and take a look and see what it's all about.

Thanks for taking the time to look and your kind commets which are always appreciated.

June Rudolph Days

Another month that has gone speeding by and again it's time for the Rudolph Days Challenge. There is a gorgeous prize up for grabs over on Maureen's blog this month. You just need to enter to be in with a chance to win this prize. Do pop over and take a look at the cards the DT has for your inspiration this month. For my cards this month I turned to the PC and My Craft Studio and Two Red Robins USB A Frosted Eve for the artwork used to put these together. I designed them to be flat (thinking of the postage costs) and printed them onto glossy photo paper, before mounting them onto silver mirri card to finish. I do hope that you can join in the fun of the Rudolph Days Challenge.

May Rudolph Days

Today is the 25th of the month which means that it's time for anther Rudolph Days Challenge. It seem like it was only a few weeks ago when we were celebrating last Christmas and now we are nearly half way through the year. As always Maureen has a great prize for the winner who will be chosen randomly when the challenge finishes, all you need to do is enter. My cards this month have been made using the Heartfelt Creations Joyous Noel, which some of you may remember I was lucky enough to win the collection from a prize draw by Create and Craft. I normally use the stamps from these collection and the papers as backing papers only. I was about to put the collection away the other day but stopped to look through it. The images and toppers looked so good I decided to use them for my Rudolph Days inspirations this month. Some have been decoupaged and some are just flat toppers. Some are 6x6 and some are A6 but I managed to make quite a collection to pop away until December.

Happy Birthday Allsorts

This week the Allsorts Challenge Blog is celebrating its 14th Birthday and their challenge is Anything Goes. So I thought I would pop along and join in the fun. For this card I have used one of Lisa Hortons Stencil, Embossing Folder and Die sets (kindly lent to me by a friend). I really enjoyed having a play with this gorgeous set. The base card is 7x7 and I cut the mats using a Chloe die set, I used distress ink pads to colour the stencils and then mounted everything up using glue gel. I would like to wish Allsorts a Very Happy Birthday and wish them many more.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Gosh where has the time flown to, It's hard to believe that we are almost half way through May already. I'm here today with a card that I made recently for my SIL for her 70th. I used Tattered Lace dies for the background and flowers and then Carnation Crafts for the balloon numbers. The background came from a CD but that I had printed off quite a while ago and I can't remember which one I used, but it went with the flowers. I'm popping over the the Allsorts Challenge with this card which is April Showers Bring May Flowers and also the CD Sunday Challenge which is Anything goes.

March Rudolph Days

It's time again for the next Rudolph Days challenge, that time where we make a card ready for Christmas which at the moment seems so far away. But we all know how it creeps up on us. Maureen has a wonderful prize ready for the person who will be drawn at random at the end of the Challenge. So pop on over and join in the fun this Month, just one card is all it takes. For my card (cards) this month I've been looking on the internet for Snowmen images and I found four different designs that I've turned into cards. Four designs and four cards of each design, that makes 16 cards to add to my growing stash ready for December. I've added the sentiment to the card using my Graphics program.

Something New

Now for something new. Just before my trip to Cornwall at Half Term along with 5 crafty friends, I went to a workshop held by Ali Reeve from Stamps Away. We had a wonderful day learning how to Glass Fuse using a small kiln and a Microwave. We each had a space along with various pieces of glass and some tools, also 2 small Kilns and a Microwave so there was no waiting in a line to use equipment. The whole day went by so quickly and we all came away happy with what we had made. I've added a bail to each of three of my makes which I hope to turn into necklaces and there are a couple of the smaller pieces that I would like to make into rings. I just need to find out where to buy the settings for them. If you want to try something new like this it's well worth taking a look at Ali's Website she does some very interesting workshops and reasonable too. Two of the friends returned home and have bought small kilns and a spare Microwave and have continued to glass fuse. As much as I would love to be able to do that I must admit to hoarding far too much craft stash already so have no room for anything else.

February Rudolph Days

As I typed the title into the box for this post I thought to myself I should have been typing "Wait For Me". I'm running very late this month with my Rudolph Days entry. This is due to spending half term week in Cornwall with our Grandson. I've been catching up ever since. But I'm glad to say that I did find time for a little bit of batch making with my offering for this month. I used the Die and Charisma that came with last July's Tattered Lace Magazine (unusual to have Christmas on a July issue of the Magazine). I'm so disappointed that this has now discontinued, I looked forward to the day that it came through the door each month. Another reason for using this wonderful image is that when my kids were younger (a lot younger than they are now) we had a ginger tom who would sit in the window and watch the birds, just like this one is doing here. I hope that you have managed to pop over and join the fun at Rudolph Days this month, I know that Maureen will have a wonderful prize waiting for the person who is lucky enough to be drawn at random.

January Rudolph Days

The 25th of the month can only mean one thing, it's time for the Rudolph Days Challenge. I know we have just put away the Chrisrmas decorations but if we start making our cards now it's not so rushed nearer the big day. I've been doing this now for quite a few years and I always make several of the same design, this time I managed seven, it should have been eight but one went totally wrong so was popped into the bin. I used a die that was from Creative Expressions Paper Cutz collection. cut out of some holograpgic mirri card and teamed them with a pad of 6x6 papers that came from Crafters Companion. I still have to add a sentiment to the fronts, once I've decided which one to use. As always Maureen will have a wonderful prize for the winner who is drawn at random at the end of the challenge and you only need to make one card to join in with the fun. I hope to see you over on the challenge blog.

80th Birthday Wishes

I have just completed an order for 5 cards all for the same person but from various family members and as this person is a friend I also made a 6th card myself. For this card I used Tattered Lace's Broken Edges collection. The artwork came as a download but no backing papers so I used MCS and one of the very many collection on there to pick a backing paper that went with the flowers. As I've used digital papers for this card I thought I would pop over and join in the fun at CD Sunday this week.

I'm not sure what has happened but my camera seems to have made this card look as though it's curved top and bottom. Might have to invest in a new camera or pinch Hubby's.

Add Some Sparkle

I've been trying for weeks to tidy my messy Craft Room but keep getting side tracked. This card is the result of one such side track. I found this Lavinia cut out (cut on the Scan-n-cut) tucked away with some other pieces of card, so decided it was too good to just leave there. The background is one that I had already made (I keep a box with backgrounds readymade just in case I need one in a hurry) so it didn't take long to pop this together. As I've added glitter to the wings she's just right for joining in the fun a Stamping Sensations this month who what you to add some sparkle.

Off now to see how far I get with the clear up today, I wonder what I'll find to distract me.
