Flutterby Butterflies

Since last October I've been bogged down with paperwork, forms and even more paperwork, and then just before Christmas my Mother-in-law was taken into hospital, and is still there. It looks as though it going to be a long recovery as well. This has left me little time to Craft, but today I decided that I was going to have a me day. So I got the stamps and inks out and had a play, I've even managed to get three challenges covered with this card.

I started with an 8x8 white card base, some pale peach centura pearl card and some backing paper from the Artylicious Butterfly Bliss CD. Before matting the backing paper I blended some Spiced Marmalade distress ink around the edges, and over stamped with the Leafy Branch stamp from Designs By Ryn, a very talented lady in Canada. Check out her website, she has some beautiful designs, and a very talented design team. After placing the backing onto the matting I added some ribbon, and flowers. The butterflies are from Chocolate Baroque, and are my all time favourite stamps, these were coloured with pro markers, then cut out. Before sticking them to the card I shaped them by hand, and added some feelers made with beading wire. I'll add a sentiment when I know who this will go to.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

My Time To Craft .... Things With Wings
My Craft Creations ... Flowers and Butterflies
For Your Inspiration ... Photo for inspiration below.

Thank you for taking the time to look, and your comments which are always appreciated.

Beautiful! I love the butterflies and you have coloured them beautifully.I know I've used the same descriptive word twice but that's because it is what I thought when I saw your card. :-)

Love the colours on the butterflies - I do hope your life slows down a bit so that you can catch up with yourself. So frustrating to have all the lovely stash and not much time to use it!!

Hey Sue, I´m sorry to hear your family is going through a hard time. IT´s good that you are still taking time for yourself to do what brings you joy. Love what you´ve done with my stamps in combo with those Chocolate Baroque butterflies. Those stamps go very well together. You´ve really captured the warmth of that photo too. Gorgeous card!
