September Rudolph Days

I must apologise for being so late with this post for this Month’s Rudolph Days Challenge. After a bad start to this year with the passing of my Mother who had just celebrated her 90th Birthday, this week my Father-in-law passed away aged 93. I know they were both a great age and these thing are expected at sometime but it does not make it any easier. So having just finished clearing and selling my Mothers house and finally getting all the bits that I bought home put away, we are having to do it all over again.

Any way onto this Month’s Rudolph Days Challenge, Maureen has a wonderful prize for the person who will be picked at random, anything goes as long as it’s Christmas so you have nothing to lose by joining in. For my cards this month I have used just one set of Pink Ink stamps and I really enjoyed colouring them in with my pencils. I made 12 cards altogether, 4 in each design. Please pop over and take a look at the wonderful cards that my fellow teamies have made for your inspiration.

Thank you for taking the time to look and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Hi Sue,
So sorry to hear of your loss I lost my parents quite a few years ago and my Mum was 83 and my Dad went 10years after at the age of 93.
Nothing can replace them, but we still have fond memories to help a little.

I am surprised you had time to make all those wonderful makes they are so stunning and fabulous.
Your colouring of the images is perfect and your inking is brilliantly done.
Lots of crafty love and hugs. Jenny L.

A fabulous collection of cards Sue, I love the cute stamps you have used.
I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, it doesn't get any easier does it, I think sorting everything out is the worst task, it is so difficult.
We actually managed to all get together and scatter my Mum's ashes on Friday, it is just over a year since she passed away!
Tale care.

What a fabulous display of your gorgeous cards. Well done you!
They are each wonderful, made with lovely colouring skills.

So sorry to hear of The loss of Steve’s Dad. You guys have been through so much this year. I wish I was closer and could help with all that work ahead.

Instead I can only give a virtual hug…not quite as nice as help though.
Hugs
Maureen

Oh Sue, I'm so sorry to read that you've had another close loss in your family. No, it doesn't get any easier. My parents had me late on in life and and when my Dad died aged 76, lots of people were trying to make me feel better by saying that he had had a good innings, I was 27 at the time. Good intentions from all but he was still my Dad, regardless of his age, so I absolutely understand that it never gets easier, regardless of age, so I'm sending you and your family a big hug and my deepest sympathy. Your cards are beautiful and I'm pleased that you've been able to share them with us. Take good care of yourself Sue x

Hi Sue

I am so sad to read about your Father in Law. You are certainly being put through the mill aren't you.

Well done on being able to make so many beautiful Christmas cards whilst all this is going on for you though. Nice to have some form of escape isn't it.

Sincere condolences to you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of your losses Sue. Grief is always difficult and unwelcome, whether it's anticipatory or follows the loss of a loved one.

You sure spent a lot of time on this set of wonderful holidays cards I've not seen anywhere of these images before - they're cute in their old fashioned outfits.
