CD Sunday - Sugar And Spice

This week the challenge over on the CD Sunday blog is Sugar and Spice. A couple of things instantly sprung to mind, Cooking with both Sugar and Spice, or the poem "What are little girls made of", I decided to go with the latter. I used Crafter Companion, Paintbox Poppets for my card, and just one sheet from the card companion section on the CD. With the increased cost of postage these days I'm trying to make flatter cards, I do find it difficult as I love to decoupage. On my one sheet there is a layered background, toppers, embellishments (I decided to add my own, with the ribbon and the flower) tag  and sentiment. Apart from the embellishments I added all I needed was the card base (6x6) and some card for matting.

Thank you for taking the time look, and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

This is gorgeous Sue, I love the image and your layout is fab. This CD is seeing a lot of use this week and I am not surprised.
Beautiful addition of flowers and a bow add the perfect finishing touch.
Thanks for joining us again this week.

Yes, I used an image by the same artist, so great choice! Her little girls look so realistic don't they? I love the combo of pink and blue here. Lovely card.

Fabulous card, i love this CD, the images are so nice. I know what you mean about the postage, it cost so much now i think we have all cut back a bit on the layers.

Beautiful card for the theme, I love the image. I also have the same issue with cards that cost so much more to post with layers. But you do such gorgeous decoupage work, you can't give it up ! Take care, Shirleyx

A great take on the theme Sue. That pink bow looks really sugary. Love the blue and pink together not thought of this colour combo before. Wynn x
