March Rudolph Days And Pixies Snippets Playground

While clearing up after my play yesterday I was trying to think what to make for the Rudolph Days challenge this month when I found some play pieces that I had made some time ago. They were sitting on the worktop forgotton along with the die cuts of the two Merry Christmas's. They not only solved what I was going to do for the Rudolph Days Challenge but also allow me to playalong with the Pixies Snippets Playground Challenge too, as they were made using scraps.

My first card was made using the debossed side of an embossing folder and then using Cosmic Shimmer Opel polish in Blue and Silver across the top. I mounted it onto an A5 card base and added the Merry Christmas die cut.

My second card was made using a piece of left over acetate packaging which I added some green  Alcohol ink to the reverse side and then some glitter. I then stuck some crumpled up tissue paper to the reverse. I was never happy with the finished result and didn't use it. Some time later I looked at it again and added some green paint to the back  and got something that I was happier with. I'm quite please with the result that I've managed to get with this card. Again I added to an A5 card base with some mirri card and finaly the die cut Merry Christmas.

I'm sure that many of you have extra time on you hands with self isolation at the moment, make a Christmas card and come and join the fun at the Rudolph Days Challenge. Maureen has got a great prize for the winner who is picked at random. If not a Christmas card then rummage around your scraps and make a card, you can than join in the fun over at Pixies Snippets Playground Di always has a great prize for whoever is picked at random. You'll find the rebels behind the bike shed.

Thanks you for taking the time to visit and your kind comments which are always appreciated.

Keep safe and well
Sue

Love both cards - layering up the letters on the die cut really makes the sentiment stand out

You've done a great job of using up these oddments and if you'd not said, I'm sure no one would guess.

Two wonderful cards, Sue! I think the way you did the sentiment and the embellishments around them looks fab. Really makes them pop.

Have not tried that opal polish stuff yet, but did pick up a jar of it and planned to give it a try soon!

Thanks for taking part in the March Rudolph Days Challenge.
