It's been a while since I took a trip along to the Pixies Snippets Playground, but I've been trying to tidy my Craftroom for the last week (I'm getting there), but while clearing a shelf I found this image already coloured and ready to go. So I stopped long enough to get it made up. I can't remember were the stamp is from, as it was stamped as a result of a crafty play with a friend who bought the stamp along with her. But as I said I had coloured it at the time intending to make it into a card. The base card (5x7) was made out of a piece of card in the scrap box, one end was badly damaged so I cut it down to make the base, the silver glitter card was an off cut from a previous project too. Well I'm off to Ikea this afternoon to get some more shelves, hopefully once up I can get my room finished and back to some serious crafting.
As well as popping along to the playground this week, I'm also going to join in the following challenges.
Allsorts Challenge ... Anything Goes

Chameleon
I think I might have mentioned in an earlier post that I'm a bit addicted to Pink Ink Stamps at the moment, so when I saw this one for sale it jumped right into my basket shouting Buy Me, Buy Me. So what else could I do, I bought it. It was stamped onto Sheena's stamping card and then coloured with Spectrum Noir pens, I blended a little ink around the outside and added some Nuvo drops to the flowers. Then it was popped onto some black card and a 8x8 card base. I thought I would go and join in the challenge at A bit More Time To Craft which at the moment is Anything Goes.

Wings
I'm just popping in today with a card for the current challenge at Make My Monday which is wings. For this card I made a background using Distress Inks and then stamped using Lavinia Stamps. I couldn't resist using this beautiful fairy swinging from the branches, she looks like she's having so much fun. I coloured the flowers at the bottom using Distress Pens and added some sparkle to her wings with a sparkle pen.
I'm also going to enter the Challenge over at A Bit More Time To Craft which is Anything Goes.

Spring Flowers
I been rather quite lately what with my Mum coming home from Hospital (glad to say she back to normal now) and the Easter hols. But in between I have managed to get some crafting done, just not had time to share with you all. Here is my card for today, it's similar to one that I made at a Phil Martin workshop at the end of last year but I've put my own twist on it. I started with an 8x8 card base and black card for the matting, some white card cut slightly smaller than the black which I coloured with distress inks. I then sprayed Dylusions Shimmer Sprays onto my glass mat and mopped up some of the colour onto the background I had made. I repeated this for the centre circle and added a sentiment from Chocolate Baroque. I made some flowers that from a die that was bought from the Internet and mopped up more spray from the mat before putting together on the card with some die cuts of leaves, from another die bought from the Internet.
Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather that we're having at the moment, I'm off to my Sister-in-laws this afternoon.

In The Pink
Well I've managed to get back in less that a week this time. My card today is for my Grandson's God Mother, who loves fairy's. What a good excuse for me to make this card using one of the cutting files from Lavinia. I blended distress ink onto the card base in the centre using a mask and then adding some foliage using the stamps. Next I popped the cut out over the inked area and flooded the wings with glue and added some glitter.
I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:
Allsorts .. In The Pink

Mothers Day
I thought that I would show you the card that I made for my Mum for Mothers Day yesterday. I made it using the Heartfelt Creations Lush Lilac Collection, by cutting into the backing paper and also using one of the toppers in the pad too. I stamped the flowers in a dark Lilac colour before colouring with a lighter colour and die cutting them out. I also used the Lilac spray as a base to put the little flowers onto. The flowers were shaped using the shaping press that was bought out with the collection too, it certainly took the hard work out of the shaping. As I have several cards to make for ladies in the coming weeks I stamped and shaped rather a lot of them. I'm glad to say that My Mum loved the card and we had a lovely day with my Daughter, who cooked us a wonderful Dinner. It was so nice not to have to slave away in the kitchen.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

21st Birthday Card
I have a 21st Birthday card to share with you today. It's an 8x8 card made using Heartfelt Creation Classic Petunia Collection. First I stamped the flowers and embossed them with silver embossing powder, then cut them out using the dies. I then picked the background papers from the paper pad and teamed them with silver mirri card. The corners are silver metal bought from ebay. I also used a leafy flourish and doily dies from Heartfelt Creations. I finished the card by adding Congratulations which was a Tattered Lace die and the 21 which was cut by the Cricut.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

U R 21
Before Christmas you may remember that I had to make five cards for a 75th Birthday all for the same family, well they now have a 21st Birthday coming up and yes I've been asked to make five 21st cards now. This one fits in with a few of the challenges and I'm safe to post this now as I know that the person receiving this card does not visit my blog. First I sprayed a piece if linen card stock with Dylusion Sprays and put to one side to dry while I got on with the rest of the card. I took an 8x8 white card blank and then folded the front of the card back on itself. I then cut out some flowers from some scraps of card from my box and also stamped the butterfly onto another piece. I used Stampin Up Bermuda Bay to stamp the butterfly which was from Impression Obsession and then with a water brush pulled out the colour. I then used the same ink around the edges of the flowers, before putting them together and adding some gems to the middles. Then with more scraps I cut out the Celebrate and u r 21, the leaf spray's were from some that I had already cut out. I then cut up the background and popped onto the card using a silver linen effect card for the matting and also some silver ribbon too, then finally adding the flowers and butterfly.
Below is a photo showing the fold in the card front.
I am going to take part in the following challenges with this card.
Butterfly Challenge - X is for extra fold and/or the colour peacock blue/green
Allsorts - Butterflies
A Bit More Time To Craft - Anything Goes
Pixies Snippets Playground - Must Use Scraps

One Layer Butterflies
It was quite a busy time last week, with hospital visits everyday, thank you all for your good wishes. Father-in-law is still in hospital with a chest infection we're hoping he comes home later this week and Sister-in-law is now at home with no diagnosis as to what is wrong. She has to return for more tests though and has been given six weeks off work. Right now onto my card today, this has been made for the current Butterfly Challenge, which is only for a few more hours so I'm getting in by the skin of my teeth. On the 6th January I went with my friend down to Eileen Godwin's and took one of her wonderful workshops, we made one layer cards just like this one. So when I got home I knew that this was what I would do for the challenge, it was just a case of finding the time to tidy a little so I had room to craft. Well I managed it this morning and this was the result. An A6 one layer card using Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar distress inks and then Picked Raspberry through a butterfly stencil. I then used the edge of a Visible Image stamp around the edges using Real Red from Stampin Up and then finally I used the Butterfly stamp from Visible Image and sentiment stamp from Crafters Companion.
Butterfly Challenge - O is for one layer and or the colour Ultra Pink
Allsorts Challenge - No patterned papers
