Another Album

I thought that I would show you another of the Albums that I made for Christmas, this one was using Graphic 45 Garden Goddess papers. I made two of these almost the same, one for my Sister and one for my sister-in-law. I must admit to having the bug for making these at the moment and have recently completed two more, but different styles. I used a corner rounder on the corners of the ephemera cards and I also made pockets in all of the pages with a pull out double spread for more photos to be added. The frames in the middle were made using the new Gemini foiler from Crafters Companion with acetate added so that a photo can just be slide underneath. This was all made using the Tonic memory book dies from both set 1 and set 2.

All Things Bright And Beautiful

This is a card that I started at Crafters Companion Craftaganza in November last year but didn't get around to finishing it. However the other day while moving some stuff around in my craft room I found it and decided to finish it for a friends Birthday. It's now been received so I can show it here and because it's nice and bright I shall pop along to the Stamping Sensations Challenge blog and join in there this month. I used the Spectrum Noir ink pads for the colour and the butterfly is from one of Crafters Companion's sets too, the foliage stamps are from Lavinia.

Dreams

Well I don't know where this week disappeared too, I can't believe that it's Saturday already. My card today is for the Butterfly Challenge which this time around is the letter K with the colours being Kobe, Kobi and Kelly Green along with Kraft Card, Kite and Knot it. My colour (which has all come from the scrap box) is Kobe and Kelly Green along with Knot it. I ordered the beautiful new dies that The Paper Boutique bought out recently, which this time was all about butterflies. So it would have been rude not to have tried one out for the challenge. I have also used a sentiment from Crafters Companion and added a knot in ribbon to match the colour.

Anniversary Cards

Today I though that I would show you the other two cards that I made using the Kanban dies and toppers set. The first is a card to my Husbands Nephew and his wife who are going to be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in a few days time. As they don't read this blog I know I'm safe posting this here now.

 This second card is for My daughter and Son-in-law who celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary on 1st March. The backing paper/card was also in the set so matches the background of the topper on this second card. Both of the cards are 8x8. As I said yesterday I don't normally buy kits, but I have to say that this one is quite beautiful.

Snippets Playground

The last couple of weeks my Mojo went for a walkabout and I found it very difficult to get motivated. However a little bit of snow and it came running back again (I'm glad to say). The other week on Create and Craft Kanban had some lovely looking dies, they came with a card kit as well. Normally I don't buy kits as they just stay sat in a box unused. But this weekend I decided to get one sheet out and make it up. This card was made using the smallest of the elements on the sheet, die cut using the die with the set, as are the top two layers of matting. I needed a background to put onto the card, so I went to one of my many boxes of printed papers (these have been either cut down or discarded after being printed for one reason or another) and found this which matches perfectly. I didn't even need to cut it to size, just pop it onto the top of a piece of silver mirri card. As I used a scrap or left over piece of backing paper it gives me a good excuse to pop over to Pixies Snippets Playground this week.

Memories Album

I thought that I would show you what I was making just prior to Christmas (for presents), it was some Memories Albums using the Memory Keeper dies from Tonic Studios. This one was make for our friend who we very often go on road trips with, the last one being our epic American Road trip in 2017. The papers I used were all printed using the Crafters Companion Destinations CD. I also printed off some resized postcards from the CD and used them as ephemera cards. You will see in the photos that two pages look undecorated these I added photo frames to these after I took the photos. I finished it by adding "Travels With My Friends", the letters I cut out with the Cricut and then added Glossy Accents to once they were stuck in place. I think I managed to keep this quite masculine looking, hope you agree.

21st Birthday

I was asked in December to make a 21st Birthday and must admit that it made a nice change to Christmas themed things. I did not find time to blog it when I made it but when I saw today's challenge over on the Allsorts Blog it popped right back into my head. I used Katy Sue's Fabulous Fashion for this decoupage card, the flowers were some that I'd had made in advance, I just colour tinted the ends of the flowers. I also added a key from some that I have in my stash. Both the flowers and leaves were cut from dies from Crealies.

Mixed Media Project

I spent last Saturday with some friends celebrating a 60th birthday with one of them. As a Crafter this person decided that she wanted a crafty party for this big birthday so invited four friends to help her celebrate. We arrived and after a cup of coffee we started on this project, following an online course by Andy Skinner and using Deco Art products to decorate a paper mache book box. We had a great day with sandwiches and birthday cake at lunch time and then after continuing with the crafting in the afternoon. Later we went for a Thai meal in the evening to finish the day. I bought my project home and finished it with some embellishments that I had in my stash.

I'm entering this into the challenge over at the More Mixed Media Challenge blog, which at the moment is Anything Goes with the option of Blues. There's plenty of blue on my box so fits perfectly.

Christmas Trees

So much to do and so little time. I feel a bit like a headless chicken at the moment, I'm rushing here there and everywhere and not really getting anywhere. I've just noticed that the new challenge over on the Allsorts Challenge blog this week is Christmas tree's and I have just the card to enter into the challenge with. The background was made with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens and then splattered with white gesso. I mounted it onto some silver mirri card and added the die from Spellbinders. The sentiment is one from Chocolate Baroque. It was a nice quick and easy one to make so needless to say I made more than one. Well I must dash still so much to do for the big day.

Fairies

I've made this card to enter into the Allsorts challenge this week, which is Fairies, Fantasy and Magical. Just up my street but I nearly forgot to post it with all the things to do for Christmas. The background for both of the flower shapes was made some time ago when I used them to mop up some left over ink on my work surface. It was just a case of deciding which stamps to use with them and for me there was only one choice, Lavinia Stamps of course. I must admit it made a change from Christmas.
